As far as I know, I do not write in a terribly compeling way. The credit that I've received from professors has always been related to the logical consistency of papers or my ability to concisely summarize and blend ideas. While I hope that my writing becomes more compelling, I do not expect any immediate results.
My past attempts at writing regularly have all been without a focused topic; they all resulted in ever more sporadic writings about my personal life. This time I am attempting to focus it around a central idea (more on this later); it is my hope that this will nurture deeper and more interesting reflections. I am also hoping that an audience, or at minimum the idea of an audience, will keep me writing regularly and with higher standards.
